A beautiful and prayerful sign of our Orthodox faith now stands once again in front of St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral - the Ice Cross, proclaiming the mystery of Christ’s Baptism and the revelation of the Holy Trinity. This sacred sign calls us to repentance, renewal, and remembrance of our own baptism, when we were enlightened by the grace of God. With grateful and prayerful hearts, we give thanks to Michael and Tanya Dobronos and their family, and to Architectural Fiberglas, Inc., for faithfully supporting this holy tradition for more than 40 years. We also sincerely thank all the volunteers who gathered today, January 2, 2026, to build this cross with love, unity, and reverence. God willing, and if weather permits, this Ice Cross will be solemnly blessed on Tuesday, January 6, on the great Feast of the Holy Theophany, as we glorify the Lord who sanctified the waters of the Jordan and all creation for our salvation.

Знову перед нашим Свято-Володимирським Українським Православним Кафедральним Собором піднісся благословенний і молитовний знак нашої Православної віри - Йорданський Хрест з льоду, який проголошує таїнство Хрещення Христового та об’явлення Пресвятої Тройці. Цей святий знак закликає нас до покаяння, духовного оновлення та пам’яті про наше власне Хрещення, у якому ми були просвічені Божою благодаттю. Зі щирою молитвою і вдячністю дякуємо Михайлові та Тані Добронос і їхній родині, а також компанії Architectural Fiberglas, Inc., за вірну підтримку цієї благочестивої традиції вже понад 40 років. Сердечно дякуємо всім волонтерам, які сьогодні, 2 січня 2026 року, в єдності та любові збудували цей хрест. Якщо дасть Бог і дозволить погода, у вівторок, 6 січня, у велике свято Богоявлення Господнього, Йорданський Хрест буде урочисто освячений на славу Божу та для духовної користі всіх вірних.
