Born February 1, 1937 in Pleven, Bulgaria, she immigrated to Lorain, OH 50 years ago. She was the beloved wife to the very Rev. Fr. Vladimir Ivanov (deceased), loving mother to Nedyalko (deceased), & beloved grandmother to Juliana (George), Maria, Ned (Stephanie), and Alexander (Angelina). She will be remembered for her phenomenal Bulgarian cooking and talent as a violinist. Her strong emphasis on academics and work ethic is exemplified through her grandchildren. Elka was one of Bulgaria's first female Electrical Engineers - designing everything from blast furnaces at steel mills to the Magnum XL 200 at Cedar Point.
