On Wednesday, November 6, 2024, the Parma City Council presented a Resolution Honoring St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral for its 100th Anniversary. During the evening meeting, the Law Director of Parma presented the Outstanding Organization Award, and the Office of the Parma City Auditor, Brian D. Day, issued a Certificate of Congratulations. Fr. Michael Hontaruk, pastor of St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral, delivered an invocation and accepted these recognitions and awards from Mayor Tim DeGeeter, Councilmen Kevin Kussmaul and Rod Euerle. On behalf of the Archpastor of the Cathedral, His Eminence Archbishop Daniel, Pastor Emeritus Fr. John Nakonachny, Protodeacon Ihor Mahlay, the Parish Board, and all parishioners, Fr. Michael expressed gratitude for the honors and highlighted the strong relationship between St. Vladimir and the City of Parma, looking forward to continued cooperation and partnership.
