The Parish Feast Day Celebration at St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral in Parma, OH on Sunday, July 23, 2023, was a momentous occasion, celebrating both the Feast Day and the remarkable 99th Anniversary of the Parish.
Святкування парафіяльного свята в Свято-Володимирському Українському Православному Соборі в Пармі, Огайо, у неділю 23 липня 2023 р. було урочистою та значущою подією, присвяченою не лише святкуванню храмового свята, але й 99-річчя заснування парафії.

The Divine Liturgy was led by Pastor Fr. John Nakonachny, with Asst. Pastor Fr. Michael Hontaruk, protodeacon Ihor Mahlay, and visiting clergy Fr. Roman Yatskiv from St. Nicholas Parish in Monessen, Pennsylvania, and Fr. Andriy Marynovskyy from Ukraine, all concelebrating the service. The presence of seven young Altar Servers and the youth reading the Epistle lesson in both languages added a special touch to the celebration. Fr. John, the pastor, in his sermon, expressed gratitude for the Lord's blessings throughout the past 99 years and highlighted the importance of continuing to work together for the success and growth of the parish in the next century.
The responses during the Divine Liturgy were beautifully sung by the combined Ukrainian and English Choirs, led by Maestro Markian Komichak, creating a harmonious and uplifting atmosphere.
Настоятель Собору о. Іван Наконечний очолив Божественну Літургію у співслужінні замісника настоятеля о. Михайла Гонтарука, протодиякона Ігоря Махлая, та запрошеного духовенства о. Романа Яцківа з парафії св. Миколая Парафії в Монессені, ПА та о. Андрія Мариновського з України. Важливим елементом були семеро вівтарних прислужників, а молодь читала апостольські послання обома мовами. Отець Іван, настоятель, у своїй проповіді висловив вдячність за Господні благословення протягом останніх 99 років та підкреслив важливість продовження спільної роботи для успіху та зростання парафії в наступному столітті.
Об’єднані українсько-англійські хори під керівництвом маестра Маркіяна Комічака своїми ангельськими голосами прикрасили богослужіння.

After the Divine Liturgy, the clergy and faithful continued the festivities at the Parish Cultural Center. The hall was a sight to behold, with tables adorned with gold and blue napkins and vases of sunflowers as decorations. The buffet table was generously set up and brimming with delicious food. The meal was lovingly prepared by members of St. Olga Sisterhood and other volunteers, under the guidance of Mrs. Iryna Dudyak. Mrs. Dudyak expressed her heartfelt thanks to all those who graciously assisted in cooking, serving, and providing desserts for the celebration.
Після Літургії духовенство та віряни продовжили святкування у Парафіяльному Залі. Зал був чудово прикрашений, а фуршетний стіл був переповнений смачними стравами. Столи були прикрашені золотими та синіми серветками, а кожен стіл мав вазу з соняшниками. Страви були приготовані з любов’ю і залученням членів сестрицтва Св. Ольги та інших волонтерів під керівництвом пані Ірини Дудяк. Вона подякувала всім, хто допомагав з приготуванням страв, сервіруванням і десертами.

During the dinner, Mr. Geof Greenleaf, the President of the Parish Board of Trustees, graciously served as the master of ceremonies. Mr. Yakiv Bursu, Vice President of St. Vladimir Brotherhood, presented the Parishioner of the 2022 Year award to Mrs. Iryna Dudyak, acknowledging her contributions to the parish family. Additionally, Lifetime Achievement Awards were bestowed upon Mrs. Helen Norka and Mr. Joseph Pobywajlo for their dedicated service. Recent high school graduates, Christina Greaves and Alex Schilling, were honored with Scholarship Awards presented by Mr. Paul Burlij, the secretary of the Brotherhood of St. Vladimir.
Голова Парафіяльної Управи, п. Джеф Ґрінліф, був ведучим церемонії обіду. Пан Яків Бурсу, Віце-президент Братства Св. Володимира, вручив нагороду Парафіянин 2022 Року пані Ірині Дудяк, визнаючи її внесок у парафіяльну родину. Крім того, двом особам були вручені нагороди за життєві досягнення - пані Галині Норка та пану Йосипу Побивайло, за їхні за віддані праці у парафії. Стипендії отримали Христина Ґрівз та Алекс Шиллінг, нещодавні випускники середньої школи, презентувавши їх пан Павло Бурлій, секретар Братства Св. Володимира.

A total of 250 faithful attendees joined in the Divine Liturgy and the ensuing celebration, demonstrating the strong and vibrant parish. The celebration was imbued with a sense of anticipation and excitement as everyone eagerly awaits the 100th Anniversary of the St. Vladimir Parish Family in the upcoming year of 2024.
На Літургії та святкуванні були присутні 250 вірних, що свідчить про сильний дух спільноти. Усі з нетерпінням чекають наступного 2024 року, коли буде святкування 100-річчя Свято-Володимирської Парафії.

The celebration was a beautiful testament to the strong faith, unity, and commitment of the St. Vladimir Parish Family, and it serves as a stepping stone for an even brighter future ahead.
Святкування було чудовим свідченням міцної віри, єдності та відданості парафіяльної родини Святого Володимира, і воно служить сходинкою для ще світлішого майбутнього.
